Disposable smart labels for pallets

Stick it on the pallet. See where it was last seen.

A cheap, disposable 4×6 Bluetooth label. Print your shipping info on it, stick it on the pallet and ship with any carrier. Phones and receivers on a crowd network pick it up as they pass, so you see where it was last seen, with check-ins every few hours. Not live GPS, and nothing to return.

Type a PingTrak number (PT-L… or PT-G…) or a UPS/FedEx number. Try a demo: PT-L2002 · PT-L1002 · PT-L1001

Two products, one tracking box

Two kinds of label. One place to track them.

Type any PingTrak number into the same box. The number itself tells us which kind it is, so you never have to choose: PT-L… is a Smart Label, PT-G… is a Live GPS Label. A UPS/FedEx number linked to either one works too.

PingTrak Smart Label

  • One-way: nothing to return

About Live GPS
How it works

Track by your UPS/FedEx number.

Six simple steps, about a minute in all. No hardware install, no driver app, no login. Works with any carrier.

1

Every label has its number

Each Smart Label comes with its own PingTrak number (PT-L…) and QR code, printed at the factory.

2

Print your shipping label on it

Print your UPS/FedEx label right onto our 4×6 Smart Label on your normal label printer: it prints on standard 4×6 thermal label printers (Zebra and similar, the kind used for UPS/FedEx labels).

3

Pull the tab

Pull the small tab to turn the label on.

4

Scan & link

Scan the label's QR code with your phone camera. Our page asks for your UPS/FedEx tracking number: type it or scan the barcode. Linked in about 10 seconds. No app, no login.

5

Stick it on and ship

Stick it on the box or pallet and ship as usual. Phones and receivers on a crowd network pick it up as they pass: check-ins every few hours, more often in busy areas. It can go quiet in remote areas or inside sealed metal containers.

6

Track by either number

Anyone types the UPS/FedEx tracking number or the PT-number on our track page and sees where the box was last seen, with time and place. Not live GPS.

The Smart Label

As simple as a shipping label.

A thin, disposable 4×6 peel-and-stick label, the same size as the UPS or FedEx labels your team already uses, and it prints on the same kind of printer. No device to mount, no batteries to charge, no app to install.

PingTrak Smart Label stuck on a cardboard box on a wrapped pallet: a white 4x6 shipping-style label with a QR code, tracking number PT-L2002 and the line Peel and stick to start tracking
Looks like a regular shipping label. Peel, stick, done.
  • Prints on standard 4×6 thermal label printers (Zebra and similar, the kind used for UPS/FedEx labels), so you can print your shipping info straight onto it
  • Standard 4×6 size, fits where a shipping label goes
  • "Last seen" check-ins every few hours, more often in busy areas. Not live GPS
  • Peel & stick on boxes, pallets or stretch-wrap
  • Own QR code + tracking number on every label
  • Scan with any phone camera or type the number to open its tracking page
  • One-way: no return needed
Three steps: 1 peel the label, 2 stick it on the pallet, 3 scan the QR code and track online
Pull. Stick. Track. Pull the tab, stick the label on, then type the tracking number on our site (no login) to see each check-in with time and place.
Why brokers use it

Fewer calls. Proof of delivery. Less freight walking away.

Your shipper sees what you see. Your team stops chasing drivers for updates.

Fewer "where's my load?" calls

Customers check the tracking link themselves. Your dispatchers get back hours every week.

Proof of delivery

The label's check-in at the destination records when and where it was seen. Settle "it never arrived" disputes with a record, not an argument.

Loss alerts Coming soon

Coming soon: get flagged when a label goes quiet longer than expected or checks in somewhere off its route, so you can start asking questions early.

One dashboard for every load

All active pallets on one map, with battery, last-seen time and status. Add a shipment in under a minute.

Your customer, your brand

Send a clean tracking page with where the load was last seen and its check-in timeline. No app or login for the receiver.

Smart Labels now, Live GPS soon

Disposable Smart Labels for one-way freight today. A Live GPS Label with a built-in SIM, for high-value loads, is coming soon. No return needed: keep it and reuse it.

Stop fraud

See where the package really goes.

A common card-fraud trick: the order ships to the real cardholder's address, then gets rerouted to a different address or a freight forwarder. With a PingTrak label on the box, you see where it was actually seen, not just what the carrier says.

Spot a reroute

If the label checks in near a different address or a freight forwarder's warehouse, you can see it on the tracking page, often while there is still time to call the carrier or hold the next order.

Fight chargebacks with proof

Each check-in is saved with time and place. When a buyer says "it never arrived", you have a location record to send to the bank or card company.

Simple to use

Same label, same tracking box. No extra steps for your packers: stick it on, link the UPS/FedEx number, ship.

Honest note: PingTrak helps you see and prove where a package went. It does not stop every fraud, and a bank decides each chargeback. The Smart Label shows where the package was last seen, with check-ins every few hours, so it can go quiet in some places.

Our story

Why we built PingTrak

I once shipped an $800 box that was supposed to go to Central Ave in Long Island. It went to Central Ave in Brooklyn instead. FedEx tracking showed me where the van was, not where my package was. So I went out there myself until I figured it out.

That got me thinking: what if there was a simple label on the package itself? Then you see where your box was last seen, not the truck.

That's our promise. Stick a label on the box, see where it was last seen.

FAQ

Straight answers about the Smart Label

Is the Smart Label a live GPS tracker?

No. The Smart Label has no GPS. It is a disposable Bluetooth label: when phones and receivers on a crowd network pass near it, they report where they heard it. That gives you check-ins with time and place, usually every few hours and more often in busy areas. You see where the pallet was last seen, not its exact position second by second.

How often will I see an update?

Usually every few hours. Near highways, cities, warehouses and truck stops it checks in more often; on quiet roads, less often.

When can a label go quiet?

In remote areas with few people around, or inside a sealed metal container or trailer that blocks the signal. It checks in again once it is near phones or receivers. The tracking page always shows when the label was last seen, so you know how fresh the location is.

Can I print my shipping label on it?

Yes. It prints on standard 4×6 thermal label printers (Zebra and similar, the kind used for UPS/FedEx labels), so customers can print their shipping info straight onto the Smart Label: one label on the pallet instead of two.

Can I track by my UPS or FedEx tracking number?

Yes. Scan the label's QR code and enter your UPS/FedEx tracking number (type it or scan the barcode). It takes about 10 seconds. After that, anyone can type either that tracking number or the label's PT-number on our track page and see where the box was last seen. We show our label's own check-ins, not the carrier's delivery status.

Do I need an app or a login?

No. Scan the QR code with any phone camera or type the tracking number on our site.

Do I need to send it back?

No. The Smart Label is disposable and one-way, so there is nothing to return. The Live GPS Label doesn't need to come back either: keep it and reuse it on another shipment.

What if I need to watch a load move in real time?

The PingTrak Live GPS Label, a label with GPS and a built-in SIM for high-value loads, is coming soon. No return needed: keep it and reuse it. Ask us and we will let you know when it is ready.

Which number do I type to track?

Any PingTrak number, in the same box. Numbers that start with PT-L are Smart Labels; PT-G will be Live GPS Labels. You can also type the UPS/FedEx tracking number you linked to the label.

Can I get alerts by email, text or phone call?

Coming soon. You will choose email, text or an automated phone call, and whether to hear on every move or only on delivery. It is not available yet; for now, check the tracking page.
